HOW TO MAKE AND APPLY YOUR DIY ARGAN OIL HAIR MASK : Owlkart

Since Argan Oil has such amazing healing, hydrating properties, it is included in many store-bought or DIY formulas and recipes for hair masks. I would love to share with you one of my favorite DIY argan oil hair mask recipes. It’s easy to make, and everything in it is natural, nutritious, and likely to already be in your pantry – what could be easier? Ingredients:
  • 2 Tablespoons of extra-virgin Olive Oil or Coconut Oil.
  • 1 Tablespoon of 100% pure Argan Oil.
  • 1 Tablespoon of Honey (preferably raw, organic honey).
  • Optional: A few drops of lavender or essential oil of your choice for the scent and relaxing properties.
You might want to change these amounts (while using the 2:1:1 ratio) in order to accommodate very long or short hair. If you have extra, you can always store it in an airtight jar to conveniently have on hand.
Whisk all of the ingredients together. If you’re using coconut oil or honey that is thick and difficult to mix, use a blender or warm everything up together in a saucepan for easier mixing. Make sure to use an extremely low flame so as not to cook out any of the nutrients. Warming up the ingredients does add an extra step to the process, and isn’t totally necessary, but heat opens up the hair cuticle and pores so that moisturizing oils can seep into the hair and scalp for maximum effectiveness.
